I grew up in a remote village in Uganda, where I witnessed the effects of poverty and climate change firsthand. Those early experiences shaped me and sparked a deep desire to create solutions that make life better for others especially those who are often left behind.
That journey led me to co-found Upcycle Africa, Gewuza Foundation, and Upcycle Impact Tours. Through these initiatives, we’ve turned plastic waste into affordable housing, scaled projects across African countries, and featured on platforms like Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle, and CNN and earn global recognition from institutions including UN-Habitat and the IET Innovation Awards.
Along the way, I’ve had the privilege to be part of communities like the Mandela Washington Fellowship, One Young World, Engineers Without Borders, and the Global Landscapes Forum. These networks have strengthened my purpose and expanded my reach, but most importantly, they’ve reinforced a belief I hold deeply: real change happens when we empower others to lead.
That’s why I’m just as passionate about mentoring and supporting the next generation of changemakers. Whether it’s through training programs, storytelling, or building platforms that give young people a voice, I believe in creating spaces where others can rise and thrive.
When I’m not working on social impact, I enjoy designing websites, creating pitch decks and digital content, playing football, reading, and spending quiet time in nature.
